Vanguard launches DAX UCITS ETF

18 July 2018 | Topical insights

Vanguard DAX UCITS ETF is now available to investors. The fund tracks the DAX® Index, the leading benchmark for investors targeting exposure to German stocks.

Investors also benefit from the ETF’s transparency, low investment management costs and Vanguard’s indexing expertise.

DAX exposure

The ETF invests in 30 of the largest and most liquid companies on the Frankfurt stock exchange. Germany’s export-led world view makes it home to many world-leading companies, across a range of sectors and industries. These firms include globally recognised brands from cars to sportswear to pharmaceuticals, along with industrial, chemical and technology firms whose products and services are in demand around the world.

The fund uses a physically backed, fully replicated approach to track a well-known, soundly constructed index. The ETF buys and holds the securities of all the index constituents in proportional weight to that of the index. This approach means the fund invests in real assets that are highly liquid.

Low costs

With an ongoing charges figure (OCF) of just 0.10%, investors get to keep more of their returns.

Indexing expertise

With Vanguard’s long history of indexing success and experienced investment teams, investors can expect the ETF to track the DAX® Index tightly, delivering a similar risk and return profile.

ETF shares can be bought or sold only through a broker. Investing in ETFs entails stockbroker commission and a bid- offer spread which should be considered fully before investing.
